Cappelletti Co-Sponsors That Would Remove References To Homosexuality In State Crimes Code

A group of Pennsylvania Senate Democrats, including Amanda Cappelletti who represents SD-17 which includes all of Lower Merion and Narberth, has introduced SB-609, a bill that removes the word homosexuality from the definitions section of Title 18

(3)  “Sexual conduct” means acts of masturbation, homosexuality, sexual intercourse, sexual bestiality or physical contact with a person’s clothed or unclothed genitals, pubic area, buttocks or, if such person be a female, breast.

The bill was referred to the Judiciary Committee on May 3.
