This weekend should be a good one for local high school football fans and music lovers.
And if you’re none of the above, if the weather report is even close to accurate, this will be a nice weekend to do anything outside.
Harriton Vs. Lower Merion, Saturday, 2:00 At Lower Merion
Serious bragging rights will be on the line when the Lower Merion Aces and the Harriton Rams face off at Hap Arnold field, tomorrow.
Both teams compete (so to speak) in the Central League. For one of these teams (barring a tie) , this game will in all likelihood be their only league win of the season. And for the other team, this will probably be the closest of any league games they will play this year – as if the kids on the field tomorrow will give a damn about any of that – In its own way, this is a championship game.
Before the game (1:30) there will be a ceremony to honor those who protect and serve Lower Merion
Narberth Music And Arts Festival “Kicks Off” Sunday at 12:30, As Artist’s Alley Opens.
For the most part, as compared to the football game, this festival should be totally mellow and chill, with the notable exception of the Narbark Dog Parade, where the competition to take home first prize for best-dressed pooch is expected to be intense! Even the dogs are psyched.
