Lower Merion’s Sydney Yermish Wins State Golf Title

Lower Merion High School junior Sydney Yermish recently won the PIAA AAA Golf State Championship with a stellar 4-under-par 68 performance at the Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York County. With the win, Yermish put an exclamation point on an already extraordinary fall campaign that included championship victories in both the Central League and District tournaments. Read more LMSD.org

In case you’re wondering, two boys competing in their tournament finished with scores only one stroke worse than Yermish’s.

Downingtown West’s Nick Gross and North Pocono’s Billy Pabst tied at 69. Gross won the title on second hole of a playoff round.
