Montco Covid Hospitalizations
With 94 of its residents in hospitals because of Covid 19, today marked the third day in a row in which Montgomery County reported fewer than 100 patients hospitalized for the virus. That hasn’t happened since August 25, when cases and hospitalizations were spiking – here and everywhere else.
The number of Montgomery County residents hospitalized for Covid-19 has ranged from a high of 546, on December 14 of last year, to a low of 10, on July 5 of this year.
Unfortunately, the recent trend in Montgomery County is going in the opposite direction of Pennsylvania’s and national trend.
The most recent seven-day average in Pennsylvania showed 3,990 patients hospitalized, compared to 3,014 as recently as November 14.
And the New York Times reported today, that the total number of patients across the U.S. hospitalized because of Covid-19, has increased by 12% in the last 14 days
