After Dr. Mehmet Oz announced that he was running for Senate in Pennsylvania, Dr. Val Arkoosh instantly became the second most famous physician running for that office.
On the same day that Oz officially announced that he was a candidate, Arkoosh was sending a fundraising email suggesting that voters would be better served by “A Real Doctor,” as opposed to Oz who according to Arkoosh, “would be dangerous for Pennsylvania and our country — only adding to Senate Republicans’ growing anti-science coalition.”
Arkoosh, is seeking the Democratic nomination for Senate. She is currently the Chair of the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. Previously she was an obstetric anesthesiologist.
