Pennsylvania Republican Senate candidates Mehmet Oz and Kathy Barnette provided the few not-hopelessly-boring moments in this morning’s candidates forum that also featured front-runner, David McCormick and Lower Merion’s Jeff Bartos.
Barnette, who ran unsuccessfully against Madeleine Dean in the 2020 in 4th District Congressional race, had to be reminded by the moderator to not discuss her opponents during closing remarks. Barnette claimed that Oz “pretended to be a liberal while working beside Oprah and Michelle Obama.” Oz jumped in, speaking over her, saying “She’s attacking me, I’m going to defend myself.”
The forum took place in reading and was organized by the Manufacturer & Business Association, which headquartered in Erie.
