Strange Video Promotes Har Zion Temple’s On-Line Gift Shop

by Gerry

A woman wakes up suddenly in the dead of night. The clock says 3:15.

She turns on the light and we see her in her bathrobe. There are curlers in her hair.

“I need my Kiddush Cup; I need my Kiddush cup now,” she yells, frantically. The video does not attempt to explain why she needs a Kiddush Cup at that hour of the night.

Kiddish Cup

To the sound of the Rocky Theme, she is running in the street. Then we see her crawling up the steps outside of Har Zion Temple (Penn Valley).

Cue the announcer – “Has this ever happened to you? It’s the middle of the night and you need Judaica,” he says.

There’s little bit more drama. The woman is pounding on the synagogue’s locked door, and then we finally get to the resolution – the Har Zion Landau Gift Shop is now online, and you can shop there anytime you want, even at 3:15 in the morning.

As it turns out  their gift shop has some nice stuff, and most of it is reasonably priced.

f you’re looking for a break from screens, alerts, and endless scrolling, the Philly Pen Show might be the cure—at least temporarily. It’s an unapologetically analog event: pens, paper, ink, and the people who still care deeply about them. Whether you’re a serious collector, someone who misses the feel of writing by hand, or just […]
