Bloomberg Field Office Opens In Ardmore
Michael Bloomberg’s Presidential Campaign opened a field office in Ardmore this morning. Jessica Cunningham, the Pennsylvania Operations Director for the former New York Mayor’s Pennsylvania campaign said that they had received RSVPs from approximately 200 people for the event.
By a rough estimate, it appeared that about half of the crowd that gathered in the small storefront at 2 West Lancaster Avernue were supporters, and the other half were curious onlookers.
“Bloomberg Surrogate” and Campaign Advisor Tim O’brien spoke to the assembled crowd for about 15 minutes. O’brien described himself as a “recovering journalist.” He said that he spent most of his career at the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and then as the Executive Editor at “Bloomberg Opinion.”
“I’ve been an observer my whole career, not an advocate” O’brien said, “This is the first time I’ve joined a political campaign.” He claimed that he “had a sub-specialty in Donald Trump.” O’brien recounted how he was an investigator for a book about Trump by Wayne Barrett called “Trump, The Deals and the Downfall.” That book was released in 1992. O’brien told the crowd that “Wayne died the day before Trump was inaugurated. I like to tell people he got out just in time.”
O’brien also wrote a book about Trump that was released in 2005 called “Trump Nation.” According to O’brien, the president didn’t like his book, and sued him for $5 billion dollars. Trump did not collect any money from O’brien as a result of that lawsuit.

There was an energized group but as I volunteer for MikeBloomberg 2020 I can assure your readers that most of the people that did not arrive on the bus were Mike Bloomberg supporters. 6+/- local staff and 140+ supporters. Please get the facts right. Thank you.
