Trying to make lemonade out of lemons, Doug Mastriano likes to call attention to the 2,238,447 votes he got in November’s gubernatorial race (compared to Josh Shapiro’s 3,031,137). He often says that his vote total was more than the past 15 Republican gubernatorial candidates. Which is true.
Since Mastriano wants to compare himself to other Republicans, perhaps we see how he stacks up versus other Republicans in Franklin County, where he lives.
It turns out that among Republicans running for state-wide office since 2014, Mastriano’s performance in his county ranks 23rd out of 24.
But don’t mention that to him on Twitter to him, or he’ll block you.
