After posting a 10-6 record, The Lower Merion Aces baseball qualified for the PIAA District 1 Class 6A Playoffs, but their hopes of advancing in the tournament were dashed by West Chester, Henderson.
Lower Merion’s Van Wilner came into the game at South Ardmore Park on Monday without giving up an earned run all season. But the Warriors put an end to that, posting three runs in the third inning and coasting the rest of the way to a 7-1 win.
The scoring got started in the top of the third, when Henderson got two runners on base on an error and hit by pitch. A two-run single from Marcus Gustafson would give Henderson the lead, and would ultimately be all they needed in this one. Read more DelcoBaseballnow.com
