Fumo To Kenney ‘You Are A Liar, Hypocrite And Pussy’

Former State Senator, political powerhouse and convicted felon, Vince Fumo, layed into his one-time protege, Mayor Jim Kenney; on Facebook, yesterday. Kenney began working as a staff-member for Fumo around the time that he graduated from La Salle University, in 1980. Eventually, Kenney became Fumo’s Chief of Staff.

Evidence that the Fumo-Kenney Mutual Admiration Society had already broken up appeared as early as 2015, when Kenney first ran for Mayor. By then, Kenney had a new political mentor in John (Johnnie Doc) Dougherty. Dougherty was one of Kenney’s financial backers. At that time, the Inquirer reported that Fumo said he would support the “four billionaires” candidate (Anthony Williams) “over one backed by labor leader John Dougherty“
