Narberth Baseball Is Back!
It’s Live, it’s Free, you sit right next to the field
And these guys can play.
The Narberth Mudcats of the Delco League are playing ball again at the Narberth Playground.
The Delco League was formed in 1908, and except for the war-torn year of 1918, hasn’t missed a season since it’s inception. Needless to say, just a few weeks ago, 2020 was looking shaky, but with social distancing precautions in place, the league is moving ahead with an abbreviated schedule (16 games instead of the usual 32).
For the most part, the Delco League draws its players from the ranks of former high school and college players, but periodically, former Minor or even Major League players have been known to suit up for one or more of the teams.
The Mudcats’ next home game is Monday, July 6
And they still use wooden bats!
It works now

So happy to see baseball in Narberth again! The players did not use the dugouts and appeared to distance while not on the field . I hope games continue, as it is a healthy outlet not only for players, but spectators. Bleachers held fans that socially distanced. Well done , Narberth!
