PAPreplive.com is reporting that, notwithstanding Friday’s (August 21) announcement from the PIAA (Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association) that it was authorizing individual school districts and leagues to get started with school sports today, on Sunday (August 23), the Central League has decided to delay the start of the 2020 Fall Season.

The PIAA’s announcement on Friday was in direct opposition to Governor Wolf’s recommendation that high schools sports should be put until January 2021.
Harriton and Lower Merion High Schools are both members of the Central League.
