The Bryn Mawr Film Institute (BMFI) has canceled Tuesday night’s (April 9) screening of the film “The Child Within Me,” which is part of the Israeli Film Festival. In a statement issued today, BMFI said they were canceling the screening because “It has become clear that our showing this movie is being widely taken among individuals and institutions in our community as an endorsement of Israel’s recent and ongoing actions.”

They should understand that the cancellation is “being widely taken among individuals and institutions in our community as an endorsement of” of Hamas terrorism and antisemitism.

In June at the School Board meeting, I spoke in defense of a Palestinian student displaying his culture at Gladwyne’s cultural night after it caused a brouhaha with members of my community.
I am that much more angry about what just happened – whether a lack of spine or plain old Jew hatred. When board members and managers drive by a Patio furniture store at that location in a few years, they should think back to April 2024.

So you gave up to a bunch of ignorant morons bc you were afraid they would come and destroy your facility? Bet you received threats? Disgusting and cowardly.

Why not just have LMPD outside to be on the alert? So these anti-Semitic (let’s be clear-they’re not just against the government policies of another country…..they’re blatant anti-Semites who use cancel culture when it suits them)
college students who just had their own film festival in their private domain perpetuating classic anti-Semitic blood libels are free to do what they want without any recourse. , Very disappointing and cowardly to kowtow to this bullying and gaslighting. I guarantee that the majority of these college students are not residents of this township let alone this state. Pathetic. .
