Sean Parnell’s appearance at the hearing that resulted in his ex-wife, Laurie Snell, winning sole legal custody of their three children – was a factor in Judge James Arner’s decision.

According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette – Mr. Parnell’s, the judge wrote, was “less credible” and his position “less believable.” He noted that Mr. Parnell simply denied all the incidents happened. The judge also said he considered Mr. Parnell’s appearance — how he acted and spoke while testifying — and concluded, among other things, that he was “dressed very casually for his appearances in court, in blue jeans and untucked plaid shirts, which did not show respect for the seriousness of the occasion.”
